DaCE runs a payroll service for disabled people who employ their own staff and receive support from DaCE Support Services. It is ideal for Direct Payments users. The payroll service forms part of the package of support that DaCE provides for local disabled people who want to live independently and control their own care arrangements.

Our payroll service has two offices, one in Carlisle, supporting clients in the north of the County, and other in Barrow, supporting those in the south.

We provide a comprehensive service, including providing pay slips, and submitting end of year returns. Our service is geared towards meeting the individual's needs and our Payroll Officers will go out of their way to provide the support you need, such as dealing with the Tax Offfice on your behalf, advising on contractual matters, and working out sick pay and maternity pay; and redundunancy pay should that arise.

The process is a simple one: you advise us how many hours an employee has worked in the previous month and, unlike other payroll services, we will actually work everything out for you and provide you with all of the necessary documentation, such as pay slips.

We aim to provide a personal service and our officers are always at the end of the phone ready to help with any enquiries or problems.

Independent Account Administration (3rd Party Accounts)

DaCE also manages Direct Payments funds for those service users who find it difficult to manage the accounts themselves. The funds are held in a bank account and all expenditure from that account is as instructed by the service user.

DaCE will carry out all of the transactions on behalf of service users, such as paying their staff, dealing with the Tax Office, and paying agency fees. It leaves the service user free to enjoy the benefits of the direct payment.
